Oil painting of Marobi's Ukrainian soldier uncle holding a rescued cat on the front line, emotional war artwork in soft lighting, 50x60 cm canvas

"My Uncle with a Rescued Cat on the Front Line," 2024
Oil on linen, 50x60 cm

This painting is part of a project in which I tell stories of animals during the war. It depicts my uncle, a Ukrainian soldier who went to the front line to defend Ukraine, holding a cat he rescued. It is a very personal and emotional piece, and it was exhibited at the Sala Manzu gallery in Bergamo.
